About
There’s art in the corners of my house if you know where to look.
The Secret Archive began as a quiet fascination with the hidden: the characters and figures that lived with us long before they were ever
meant to be seen.
I live with a renowned professional artist whose studio is full of extraordinary paintings and cut-out figures created over the years. Over time, these hidden figures began to feel like a village of outsiders; travellers, fighters, oddballs, familiar faces and imagined ones, each carrying their own quiet story.
Some were exhibited, many were never released, and so countless pieces simply settled into the odd corners of our home, under lamplight, beside bookshelves, tucked into quiet domestic scenes, bringing their own beauty.
I became the keeper of this archive - the one who noticed them, lived with them, and slowly began to reveal what had been overlooked. With the artist’s full blessing, I’m now curating and releasing selected originals from their studio archive.
Pieces they love.
Pieces that deserve to be lived with, not left on the shelves.
They create. I curate.
And part of this journey is simple: these pieces need homes.
It feels wrong for such beautiful work to stay hidden forever.
Every work here is an authentic, one-of-one oil painting or panel figure.
Never printed, never reproduced, never part of an edition.
Each is a true archive discovery, a preserved trace of an unseen life.
The Secret Archive exists to share the work that artists love and leave behind, preserving what might otherwise be lost or hidden on their studio shelves.
